The Story
Spring was born after viewing a computer-generated photo exhibit of weathered trees morphing into beautiful women. She emerged from a piece of juniper that had been lying dormant for an untold number of years in West Texas.
Because of her arching posture, she needed stability at her base. Ironwood , a dense rare wood from the Sonoran desert, provides weight and stability and offers a wistful reminder of the ferocity of life in the desert.
When polished, Ironwood comes alive in a bright sheen like the flash of a flood in a Tucson lightning storm.
