When the Macondo deep water oil well exploded and photos of the pathetic oil-coated birds began to emerge, I was driven to create a piece that would burn the inevitable consequence of our insatiable appetite for oil into our collective conscience.
'Turning a Blind Eye' was viewed internationally in the Ward World Bird Carving Competition of April, 2010.
